The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2026 is officially open for applications. You can apply for this funding through the Farming Investment Fund service.
Please note the updated application window: The fund opened on 17 March 2026 and will close at midday on the 12th of May 2026.
The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) will pay a grant amount of 50% towards either:
The expected average cost of the item (if the item costs you the same or more than the average cost listed).
The actual cost you pay for the item (if the item costs you less than the average cost).
Eligible Shepherdsmate Equipment Includes:
FETF69 – Mobile sheep handling systems: Trailer-mounted handling systems capable of holding a minimum of 250 adult sheep.
Clamp-style handlers: For dagging and dosing sheep.
Static or race EID panel readers: For sheep, complete with antennas and Bluetooth connection.
Electronic load bars & weigh platforms: To operate with digital weigh heads or readers for livestock.
Automatic EID & vaccination guns: For drenching, pour-on, or vaccinating, which wirelessly communicate with weigh heads to automatically adjust dosages based on the animal’s weight.
Ensure your application is submitted before midday on the 12th of May to secure funding for your farm’s future.
